Favos do Sul

As artesãs terminaram o curso confeccionando bonitas almofadas e jogos americanos”, o empresário.

Emporio Beraldin participates in social projects and qualifies artisans.

Emporio Beraldin´s DNA consists in seeking the brazilian culture essence and Zeco Beraldin never had any doubt about that. Since its beginning he aimed at recovering the value of the natural fibers in various productions. “I wanted all the products to be manufactured with natural raw materials. I always believed that it would highlight and bring the concept of natural to our productions”, says Mr. Beraldin. The proposal gave authenticity to the products conducting the company towards the goal to stand out among the best companies.

Zeco was thinking about working on the engagement between the community and Emporio Beraldin´s creations. That is why he made partnerships with artisans from several areas of the country and developed projects that gave even more value to the brand. See below a few of these works:

Pure Wool

The Pure Wool project counted on Pampa Gaucho community manufacturing fabrics. The work was accomplished in partnership with the Ministry of Agricultural Development and the Rio Grande do Sul SEBRAE (Brazilian service of assistance to micro and small enterprises). “We created this project to generate job and income promoting the family farming and social inclusion”, says Zeco.

Southern Honeycombs

The Southern Honeycombs iniciative was supported by SEBRAE from Rio Grande do Sul. In this project Emporio Beraldin and the artisans of the region joined together to develop a special collection of cushions. The cushions were manufactured with silk and linen patchwork, drawing attention to the textures due to it’s similarity to the honey combs. The partnership lasted more then three years and the professionals took advantage of the know-how to create the Cooperative of  Saint Borja´s artisans.

Apprentice

The Apprentice project was another successful work that the brand saw itself involved. It all started after a meeting between Zeco and Gilberto Dimenstein. “The journalist, responsable for the Cidade Escola Aprendiz project (City School Apprentice), was looking for partners that would strengthen the engagement between the school and the community”, says the bussinessman. “That is how I realized the opportunity and wanted to participate.”

It resulted in a workshop focused on teaching confection in manual looms. “We offered the raw material and found someone to teach the ones who got interested. The artisans finished the course creating beautiful cushions and placemat set”, says the bussinessman.
