Thread by thread, like an embroidery, Emporio Beraldin has built its own shape and beauty through the connection with the threads. The company from São Paulo founded by Zeco Beraldin decided to create its own products using 100% natural or organic raw materials for enviromental concern and to offer more comfort to the clients. See below the details of tis wonderful path:

– Zeco Beraldin started his bussiness trajectory and acquired textile experience with the late Ari Beraldin and Rodolfo Scarpa, whom we all miss so dearly, at the famous fabric stor Beraldin & Scarpa.

– Rodolfo Sarpa set out to a solo career and the Beraldin brothers founded the Beraldin silk factory, at the city of Gália, in São Paulo. The bussiness counted with 100% verticalized fabrication. It means that the entrepreneurs were responsable for the creation of the silkworm, wiring, dyeing process of threads and fabrics, and also stamping. “It was a pioneering company in the production of silk for the brazilian interior decoration market”, says Zeco.

- It was the moment of taking a new step forward in a solo career. Zeco opened the Emporio Beraldin store in a big shed in Pinheiros neighborhood, in the city of São Paulo. The textile store started to stand out bacause of the sustainability of the pieces, made with 100% natural raw material. Another highlight of the bussiness was the handmade finishing of the fabrics. Zeco did not hesitaate in looking for partnerships with artisans from small studios and make the difference in productions.

- The brand conquers its place in the market and Zeco Beraldin opens a second store, but now in Rio de Janeiro, at Leblon neighborhood. the architect Valeria Beraldin decided to close her architecture office and started working just for the company, taking care of the store settings and developing the accessories collection and furniture of the brand.

- Zeco Beraldin focuses on recycling products and makes a partnership with an artisan to produce tables made with coconut tiles. This brand new creative product was manufactured through the exploitation of the coconut shell, being highly used on furniture and coatings of famous brands. 1999 was also the opening of the Emporio Beraldin store in Bahia Design Center.

- For the 500 years celebration of Brazil, the brand made an exhibition that was a manifesto of the removal of Pau-Brasil (a brazilian tree) from our lands, in partnership with designer Renato Imbroise. A thousand seedlings of Pau-Brasil were given to the visitors of the event and others planted at Alameda Gabriel Monteiro da Silva by architects like Brunete Fraccaroli, Oscar Mikail, Carico, Sig Bergamin, João Armentano, Toninho Noronha, Ana Maria Vieira Santos, among others. The exhibition was part of the official celebrations of 500 years of Brazil’s discovery.

- It was a year of huge innovation for the brand, highlighting the manufacturing of the horn and bone tiles and this kind of material was not easy to handle. Zeco needed to produce in large scale and many producers did not believe it was possible. So he found an artisan from Rio de Janeiro that accepted the challenge to start producing. Soon, the proposalbecame a success and well-established archtects such as Roberto Migotto started using the material in their projects.

- Zeco and Valeria develop the Brazil collection and reinforce the north and south culture beauties of the country. The fancy collection valued the abundance of the handmade work and counted with materials like leather, bone and horn tiles. “We also looked for semiprecious stones from the midwest, the banana tree fibers from southeast and the seeds from Amazon to bring something new to the collection”, says Zeco.

- Emporio Beraldin opened a new showroom in Ipanema, RJ. The 2005 collection was inspired by Brazil’s cologne and one of the highlights was the stamped fabric with a painting of Franz Post and Albert Eckhout.

- In 2004 and 2006, Emporio Beraldin took part in many trade fairs in the United States, such as High Point and ICFF. The brand also opened a new showroom in the city of Mexico, giving birth to the expansion abroad. In 2006 was launched the Flora Brasil collection.

- Another showroom was opened in Boston and Emporio Beraldin also took part in the CasaCor Sweden, at the emblematic T-House (built by the swedish architect Af Jochnick, at Stockholm). the brand launches in 2007 the Touch and Senses collection.

- Emporio Beraldin launches the In-Fluências collection.

- The brand opens an Outlet. In 2009 is launched the Superfícies collection.
